Dehradun: In a major relief for over 24 lakh electricity consumers in Uttarakhand, the state power regulator has approved a negative Fuel & Power Purchase Cost Adjustment (FPPCA) of ₹50.28 crore.
This adjustment will directly reflect in January electricity bills, offering significant financial relief to consumers.
According to the Regulatory Commission, the power purchase cost for the period remained lower than estimated, resulting in a negative FPPCA. The approved reduction will be passed on directly to consumers through reduced billing.
This move ensures that households and businesses across Uttarakhand will notice a visible decrease in their upcoming electricity charges.
