Uttarkashi tunnel collapse Latest Update
Rescue operation continues on the 12th day after the Uttarkashi tunnel collapse incident. Some good news was expected by Friday after laying 44 meters of pipe inside the tunnel through horizontal drilling. However, the rescue operation suffered another setback after the auger drilling machine stopped working again on Thursday night.
Officials involved in the rescue operation said that there was a technical fault in the auger drilling machine. A team of engineers is working to repair the machine. It is expected that the machine will be repaired soon and the rescue operation will resume.

Drone cameras are being used to monitor the situation of the rescue operation to rescue the workers trapped in the tunnel. Continuous talks are being held with the laborers trapped in the tunnel and their essential goods are being delivered to them.
Officials involved in the rescue operation said that the condition of the workers is fine and they are in touch with the rescue team. It is expected that soon all the workers will be evacuated safely.
