Heavy rain in dehradun : Due to the rain in Doon Vihar, the houses of 8 families got damaged. The rain that started at one o’clock in the night did not stop for several hours. Due to this the area was waterlogged and water entered many houses. Due to water, people had to come out of their houses.

Councilor Sanjay Nautiyal said that the families of the victims were shifted to another place at night itself. Honorable Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi ji immediately provided financial assistance of 11-11 thousand. He also made arrangements for food, water, ration and accommodation on the spot. He assured all possible help to the families of the victims.

Two cows and a calf were also taken out from the spot. Municipal Commissioner Mr. Manuj Goyal, SDM Sadar, Additional Tehsildar, Patwari and officials of PWD Irrigation Department were present on the occasion.

Honorable Minister Shri Ganesh Joshi said that the government is with the families of the victims and all possible help will be given to them. He said that soon new houses would be constructed. He also appealed to the people to be careful during the rainy season and get the houses repaired.

The rain in Doon Vihar was an accident. But from this incident, people have come to know how important it is to be careful during the rainy season. People should get their houses repaired and avoid going out of their houses during the rainy season.
