Karwa Chauth 2023 : Dehradun, 31 October 2023: Uttarakhand government has given gifts to women employees on Karva Chauth. Governor Gurmeet Singh has declared November 1 as a public holiday for women employees in government, non-government offices and educational institutions. Secretary Vinod Kumar Suman has also issued orders for this on Tuesday afternoon.
The order states that on Karva Chauth, women employees are being given leave to follow their traditions and customs. This leave will be applicable to all women employees, irrespective of religion or community.
Women employees have welcomed this decision. He said that this decision is very honorable for him.
Karva Chauth is a Hindu festival, celebrated to worship Lord Shiva and his consort Parvati. On this day, women keep a fast for the long life and happiness and prosperity of their husbands.
