Quick action in overrating case by District Magistrate Savin Bansal
Dehradun, [Date] – District Magistrate Savin Bansal was informed by a complainant through telephone at his camp office that overrating is being done at the English liquor shop located in Transport Nagar. On this information, the District Magistrate immediately directed the concerned Excise Inspector to reach the spot and investigate the situation and take appropriate action.
The Excise Inspector reached the spot and investigated, in which it was found that overrating was being done in the said liquor shop in violation of the rules. Taking immediate action on this, a challan of Rs 50,000 was issued to the licensee of the shop.
This action has made it clear that the administration will not tolerate overrating or other illegal activities and will take strict action against the culprits. The District Magistrate also directed that quick action should be continued on such complaints so that law and order is maintained in the district.
