Animal-loving Bageshwar Police successfully rescued a calf trapped in the Saryu river
Bageshwar, 25 September 2024 – Bageshwar Police, showing its animal-loving spirit, successfully rescued a cow (calf) trapped in the Saryu river and took it out safely.
Today at 12:29 pm, Fire Station Bageshwar received information through DCR that a calf is trapped in the Saryu river near Union Bank, near the Saryu bridge. Responding immediately to this information, the Fire Rescue Unit reached the spot with its rescue vehicle.
With hard work and understanding, the joint team of Fire Rescue Team, Dial 112 and Traffic Police caught the calf with safe hands and took it out of the river. During the incident, the calf suffered a leg injury, which was treated by the medical team on the spot.
This quick and humane effort has demonstrated the promptness and sensitivity of Bageshwar Police. Local people praised the police and rescue team for this commendable work.
