Badrinath Dham, November 20: Uttarakhand’s Agriculture and Soldier Welfare Minister Ganesh Joshi paid a spiritual visit to the sacred Shri Badrinath Temple early this morning. The minister offered prayers to Lord Badri Vishal, seeking blessings for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state. He was accompanied by members of his family, who also took darshan at the holy shrine.
Warm Welcome by Badrinath–Kedarnath Temple Committee
Upon reaching the revered Badrinath Dham, Minister Joshi was welcomed by Rishi Prasad Sati, Vice President of the Badrinath–Kedarnath Temple Committee (BKTC). After completing the darshan and puja rituals, the BKTC presented him with prasad, a Tulsi mala, and a ceremonial angavastra, symbolizing divine blessings.

Before this, BKTC CEO and Executive Magistrate Vijay Prasad Thapliyal received the Cabinet Minister and briefed him about the ongoing arrangements and management of the yatra.

The Chief Executive Officer of BKTC informed Minister Joshi that, under the guidance of BKTC Chairman Hemant Dwivedi, the Badrinath–Kedarnath Yatra 2025 has been conducted smoothly and successfully. He shared key updates, including:

The Kedarnath Temple closed on 23 October for the winter season.

Over 1.65 million pilgrims have visited Lord Badri Vishal so far this year.

Pilgrim Safety Is the Government’s Top Priority: Minister Joshi
During the visit, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi emphasized that the safety and convenience of pilgrims remain the top priority of the Pushkar Singh Dhami-led government. He appreciated the efforts of the BKTC in handling the yatra arrangements with dedication and efficiency.
He also reviewed the ongoing work under the Master Plan, aimed at transforming Badrinath Dham into a “Divine and Grand Spiritual Destination” in alignment with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Minister Joshi reiterated that the Uttarakhand government is continuously striving to enhance the experience of devotees visiting Devbhoomi.
