BSP MLA from Mangalore Sarwat Karim Ansari passes away

BSP MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari dies : BSP MLA from Mangalore Sarwat Karim Ansari died in a hospital in Delhi on Monday morning. He was 62 years old. As soon as the news of the MLA’s demise was received, a wave of mourning ran among the BSP workers and the town.

Late on Friday evening, MLA Sarwat Karim Ansari was admitted to a private nursing home in Mangalore after his oxygen level went down. But as his health deteriorated, he was admitted to a private nursing home in Delhi on Friday night. Where his oxygen level was down for the last two days. Therefore the doctors kept him on ventilator.

He died during treatment here on Monday morning. Sarwat Karim Ansari became MLA from Mangalore Assembly for the second time. Before this, he had also represented Mangalore Assembly on BSP ticket from 2012 to 2017. There was a wave of mourning in Mangalore town on the news of his demise.

On the other hand, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed deep condolences on the untimely demise of the BSP MLA. The Chief Minister has prayed to God to grant peace to the soul of the deceased and to grant patience to the bereaved family. The CM consoled the MLA’s son by talking to him on phone.

Political life of MLA

Sarwat Karim Ansari was born in 1961 in a Muslim family in Mangalore. He became a member of Mangalore Municipality for the first time in 1995. In 2012, he won the Mangalore Assembly elections on BSP ticket. In 2017, he again won the elections on BSP ticket and became MLA for the second time.

Ansari was a popular MLA. He was always ready for the development of his area. His demise has caused a great loss to the Mangalore assembly constituency.
