DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand CM Dhami Hoists Flag, Lauds India’s Progress

Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the Independence Day celebrations in Uttarakhand by hoisting the national flag. The event was attended by several dignitaries including the BJP state president, MPs, cabinet ministers, and MLAs.

In his address, CM Dhami paid homage to the brave martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Uttarakhand state movement activists.

Highlighting India’s growing global stature, Dhami attributed the nation’s progress to the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He stated that the Modi government has successfully abolished outdated laws that had been in place since the British era.

The Chief Minister also expressed satisfaction with Uttarakhand’s improved ranking in the ease of doing business category. He further emphasized the state’s commitment to social harmony by highlighting the implementation of strict laws against forced conversion, land jihad, unfair copying, and riots.
