New Delhi: There is good news for fans of Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh. His Delhi concert scheduled for October 30, 2026, at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium has received permission from Delhi Police following a review of security arrangements.
According to officials quoted by news agency ANI, permission for the concert was reconsidered and subsequently granted after several rounds of discussions between the police and the event organisers.
The decision comes after concerns were raised over security, traffic management and crowd control during the festive season. Organisers reportedly submitted a detailed security plan to address these concerns before the authorities reviewed the arrangements.
The approval has also clarified confusion surrounding reports that the concert had been cancelled.

BookMyShow Live Clarifies Reports of Cancellation
Event organiser BookMyShow Live said the concert had not been cancelled and that permission had only been temporarily withheld while additional arrangements were reviewed.
In its statement, the company explained that Delhi Police had asked the organisers to strengthen security, traffic management and crowd-control measures in view of the festive season and the need for additional precautions.
BookMyShow Live said it subsequently held a constructive meeting with Delhi Police and submitted a detailed plan addressing the requirements raised by the authorities.
Following the review, permission for the October 30 event was granted.
The organisers also emphasised their commitment to ensuring that concertgoers and local residents do not face unnecessary inconvenience during the event.
It is clarified that reports suggesting that the Diljit Dosanjh AURA India Tour concert in New Delhi on 30 October being cancelled are inaccurate. Permission for the event had been temporarily withheld, not cancelled, and the two should not be confused. Given the festive season and the heightened caution it calls for, Delhi Police asked the organisers, BookMyShow Live, to put additional safety, traffic and crowd-management measures in place. BookMyShow Live had a cordial meeting with Delhi Police, presented a detailed plan and have assured Delhi Police of full compliance with all security/traffic requirements. On that basis, permission for the event has been reconsidered and issued. We with Delhi Police are committed to ensure a good experience to the attendees as well as local commuters: BookMyShow team
