Krishna Janmashtami 2023 : The festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great enthusiasm in Uttarakhand. Lord Shri Krishna was born on this day, who is considered the eighth incarnation of Lord Vishnu in Hinduism. In Uttarakhand, on the occasion of Janmashtami, special prayers were performed in temples. Devotees anoint the idols and pictures of Lord Shri Krishna with milk, curd, ghee, honey and flowers.

The festival of Janmashtami was also celebrated with pomp in the famous temples of Uttarakhand like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.
