In these guidelines, hospitals have been asked not to recommend unnecessary platelets. The hospital should demand platelets only when platelets fall below 10 thousand.
Health Secretary Rajesh Kumar said that there has been a decline in dengue patients in the last few days. He said that the Health Department has prepared a dengue micro management plan in Dehradun. Under this, health department officials will visit every house to spread awareness about dengue and prevent accumulation of water.
The Health Department also said that if any hospital is found committing any kind of arbitrariness, then a fine ranging from Rs 50 thousand to Rs 2 lakh will be imposed against it under the Clinical Establishment Act.
