Andhra Pradesh train accident : Two passenger trains collided in Vizianagaram district of Andhra Pradesh on Sunday (29 October) night. So far 13 people have died in this accident, while more than 50 passengers have been injured. The names of the trains involved in the train accident were 08532 Visakhapatnam-Palasa Passenger and 08504 Visakhapatnam-Rayagada Passenger Special. Due to this collision, routes of many trains had to be changed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over this accident and announced compensation for the deceased. At present, work is being done to clean the railway track.

After the accident that happened late on Sunday night, Prime Minister Narendra Modi talked to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav and learned about the situation. The Prime Minister expressed condolences to the families of those killed in the accident and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured. Along with this, PM Modi has announced to give Rs 2 lakh from PMNRF to the families of those who lost their lives in the train accident. The Prime Minister’s Office said that Rs 50,000 will be given to the injured.

The families of the deceased will get Rs 10 lakh
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has said that the government has announced compensation for the victims of the train accident. The families of those who lost their lives in the accident will be given Rs 10 lakh, those seriously injured will be given Rs 2 lakh and those with minor injuries will be given Rs 50,000 as compensation.

CM issued instructions
According to Andhra Pradesh CMO, CM M YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has directed to send as many ambulances as possible from Visakhapatnam and Anakapalle districts close to Vizianagaram for immediate relief and to make all kinds of arrangements in nearby hospitals to provide good medical care. Chief Minister Reddy has also announced compensation for the victims of the train accident. The CM has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 2 lakh to the injured in his states. Whereas in other states, the families of the deceased will be given Rs 2 lakh and the injured will be given Rs 50,000.
