The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has arrested Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the excise policy scam case. The ED team had come to serve the tenth summons to Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal in the alleged excise policy scam case. According to sources, currently 6-8 officers are present inside his house. Officers also searched his house. It is being told that there has been heavy deployment of Rapid Action Force and Delhi Police outside Kejriwal’s house.
At the same time, the Delhi High Court on Thursday rejected Arvind Kejriwal’s petition seeking protection from arrest in the liquor policy case and refused to put a stay on the arrest. ED had sent the ninth summons to CM Arvind Kejriwal, in which he had to appear before the ED on Thursday, but Kejriwal moved Delhi High Court against it. After the hearing, the court refused to grant relief and said, “We cannot give any interim protection regarding the arrest of Arvind Kejriwal.”
