Biggest train accident after 2016

Such a big train accident has happened after the year 2016-17. Rail accidents had come to a halt for the last about 7 years, but this accident has raised questions on the safety cover scheme of the railways. Let us tell you that in 2016, the Indore-Patna Express train derailed near Pukhrayan in Kanpur. 150 people lost their lives in this accident. Earlier on 22 May 2012, the Hubli-Bangalore Hampi Express collided with a goods train near Andhra Pradesh. In which 25 passengers were killed.

Questions raised on the safety cover of the railway

Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav told a question in the Rajya Sabha that Indian Railways’ anti-accident system Kavach is being implemented in a phased manner. Under the plan of Research Design and Standards Organisation, 1,455 route kilometers have already been covered on South Central Railway. At the same time, rapid work is being done by RDSO across the country.

Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that I have ordered a high-level inquiry to find out why the accident happened. Getting to the root cause is important.

Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave these instructions to Bhubaneswar AIIMS

Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya tweeted, Shocked to hear the news of the train accident in Balasore, Odisha. I express my deepest condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in this accident. I pray to God to give speedy recovery to all the injured.

In another tweet, he said, along with arrangements for emergency, ICU and OT beds in Bhubaneswar AIIMS, all doctors, nurses and staff have been instructed to provide all possible help to those injured in the accident.
