According to the story, on the orders of Lord Shri Ram, Hanuman ji assumed the 11-faced form on the day of Chaitra Purnima, which was the birth date of the demon Kalkarmukh. When the demon Kalkarsura came to know about this, he set out with his army to kill Hanuman ji. Seeing this action of Kalkarmukh, Hanuman ji became angry and destroyed his army within a moment.
