On the occasion of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary, Antyodaya families in the state received a special gift. The Chief Minister’s Free Three Gas Cylinder Scheme, which benefits Antyodaya ration cardholders, has been extended until the year 2027.
The announcement was made by the state’s Finance Minister, Dr. Premchand Aggarwal, during the celebrations marking Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s birth anniversary. The scheme, originally launched under the Chief Minister’s initiative in 2022-23, aimed to provide three free gas cylinders annually to Antyodaya families. The scheme had concluded in March this year, but recognizing its significance, the government decided to extend it for another term.
Dr. Aggarwal stated that the extension of this scheme aligns with Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay’s vision of uplifting the most marginalized sections of society. He emphasized that Deendayal Upadhyay was a source of inspiration for the Antyodaya mission, always focusing on the welfare of the most economically and socially vulnerable people.
The Finance Minister approved the proposal to continue the free gas cylinder distribution until 2027, ensuring that the government remains committed to the well-being of Antyodaya families across the state. This initiative reflects the state’s ongoing efforts to support the most needy and promote their economic and social upliftment.
