DEHRADUN : “MDDA prepares draft master plan for Dehradun, thousands of houses to be shifted”

MDDA master plan: uttarakhand (Dehradun): Mussoorie Dehradun Development Authority has prepared a master plan for Dehradun till the year 2041. MDDA’s new master plan for planned development of Dehradun. This master plan is based on Geographic Information System, suggestions have also been sought from the people of Dehradun. Giving more information on the master plan, MDDA officer Vanshidhar Tiwari said that now this master plan has been issued for suggestion and whatever suggestions come within 30 days will be implemented. There is a commercial area and a residential area.

Not only this, on the improvement of slums, Vanshidhar Tiwari said that under the announcement of the government’s decision, 10% of the authority’s development charge will be used for the development of these areas. And in which houses will be built for the slums and the settlements which are in the irrigation or river areas will be shifted. Talking about the river banks, it is being told that the houses built within a meter radius of Rispana and Bindal will also be destroyed. Shifting to draft is recommended.

In this matter, the opposition says that it has always been our stand that the Rispana and Bindal rivers, which are the two main rivers of Dehradun, have maximum number of slums. At the same time, the opposition said that before making any plan, before removing the people from there, they should be taken to concrete and safe places and then decide to remove them from there.

Dehradun’s social activist Anoop Nautiyal has urged MDDA that understanding this 311-page draft is not such an easy task.
And programs should be run to understand this draft and also by tweeting that page number 128 and 33 have been described and said that according to the policy, big buildings in Dehradun are under faultline i.e. danger or not. Explain.

That’s why Anoop Nautiyal said that a campaign can be run regarding this or somehow a program can be run to tell the public what has been given inside the master plan.
