A fire broke out in a garage near GMS Road, Dehradun on Saturday afternoon. An i10 car was gutted in the fire. A lot of stuff kept in the garage was also burnt. However, no casualties were reported.
On receiving information about the fire, fire brigade vehicles reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. The fire could be controlled after about an hour of effort.
The cause of the fire is not yet known. However, in the preliminary investigation, there is a possibility of fire due to short circuit.
The cylinders kept in the garage also leaked. It was fortunate that the cylinders did not explode.
The garage owner has suffered a loss worth lakhs of rupees due to the fire.
