Raid against single use plastic in Dehradun ,450 kg single use plastic recovered

Raid against single use plastic in Dehradun  : Dehradun Municipal Corporation has taken raid action against single use plastic and polythene. In this action, the Municipal Corporation team has recovered hundreds of kilos of single use plastic and polythene.

Municipal Corporation team raided various markets of Dehradun. During this, the team caught two traders selling single use plastic and polythene. The Municipal Corporation has imposed a fine of Rs 15,000 each on these two businessmen.

Municipal Corporation officials said that there is a ban on single use plastic and polythene. Despite this some traders are selling it. The Municipal Corporation is continuously taking action against such traders.

This action is an important step for environmental protection. Single use plastic and polythene are harmful for the environment. These plastics do not decompose for many years and they cause pollution.
