Rajkumar Rao: Renowned film production company Junglee Pictures has expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami for the support it received in Uttarakhand for the shooting and subsidy of its film ‘Badhaai Do‘. Junglee Pictures has written tagging the Chief Minister on its social media posts (Tweet and Insta).

From giving permission for shooting to approving subsidy for the film, their methodology is really commendable. We are eagerly looking forward to the opportunity to shoot in the picturesque state of Uttarakhand once again.

Thanking the filmmaker, Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, Banshidhar Tiwari said that under the leadership of the Chief Minister, efforts are being made to create an ideal environment for filmmakers in Uttarakhand.

Banshidhar Tiwari said that film production would be promoted as an industry in the state. Emphasis is being laid on employment generation in the field of film production. In the new film policy, a significant increase in the subsidy given to regional films has been proposed to encourage them.

A policy has also been prepared to encourage shooting in new tourist places.

Banshidhar Tiwari, Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Film Development Council, said that a policy has also been formulated to encourage shooting at lesser known tourist places in the state. The work of collecting information has started to make a directory for the shooting locations of the state and for the artistes and technicians associated with film production. The recently implemented Private Industrial Area Establishment Policy-2023 will also encourage private film cities, studios and other ventures. Many big film producers are in talks for film production, film city, film institute in the state.

200 film shooting approved in a year

Dr. Nitin Upadhyay, Joint Director, Nodal Officer, Uttarakhand Film Development Council said that this year two big banner Hindi films ‘Badhaai Do’ (Junglee Production) and ‘Tadap’ (Sajid Nadiadwala Production) were given subsidy. Action is also on pace for subsidy of some other Hindi and regional films. About 200 film shooting permissions have been issued in the last one year. At present, shooting of many films and webseries is going on or is proposed in the state.
