Galvan Valley clash : In a shocking incident that has sent shockwaves throughout the country, the father of Galvan martyr has been treated like a terrorist by the police. The incident took place in Bihar, where the father of the martyr was stopped by the police while he was on his way to attend a function in his son’s memory. The police subjected him to intense questioning and searched his vehicle without any valid reason.

The incident has sparked outrage among the people, with many calling for action against the police officials involved in the incident. The Defense Minister, in response to the incident, spoke to the Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, and expressed his concern over the treatment meted out to the father of the martyr.

The Defense Minister also assured that strict action would be taken against the police officials responsible for the incident. The Director-General of Police (DGP) of Bihar has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the matter and submit a report within a week.

The incident has once again brought to light the issue of the treatment meted out to the families of martyrs in the country. Despite their immense sacrifice for the nation, the families of martyrs are often neglected and face a lot of difficulties in their day-to-day lives.

On the 15th of February 2021, the father of a soldier who was killed in the Galwan Valley clash with Chinese troops in June 2020 was stopped and questioned by the Bihar police. He was on his way to attend an event in his son’s memory when the incident took place.

The police reportedly stopped his vehicle and subjected him to intense questioning without any valid reason. They also searched his vehicle, which the family said was an invasion of their privacy.
