There was a dispute between two parties in Jakhan’s Ansal Green Valley in front of the Municipal Corporation team that arrived to investigate the encroachment. There was fierce lathi-poles on both the sides, due to which a young man’s head got torn. He has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition. On information, the police pacified both the sides.

Councilor of Doon Vihar area Sanjay Nautiyal had complained to the municipal administration about illegal occupation and encroachment on about 10-12 bighas of municipal land. It was alleged that construction was being done by occupying the land in the name of green land. The complainant has also alleged that a person named Praveen Bhardwaj has encroached several bighas of land in Ansal Green Valley with the connivance of government level officials. Illegal construction is being done there with the connivance of the officials. The Municipal Commissioner had instructed the land section of the Municipal Corporation to measure the land.
Case on woman’s Tahrir Praveen Bhardwaj
The corporation’s team was measuring there for two-three days. On Wednesday also the team went for measurement. Other people of the area including the councilor informed him about breaking the wall of the temple. Meanwhile, Praveen Bhardwaj and some of his companions reached the spot. After this, both the sides started fighting. Soon a scuffle broke out and both sides started using sticks and rods. It is alleged that a young man was attacked on the head with a baseball bat.
Seeing the situation worsening, the police was informed. Police force from Jakhan Chowki and Rajpur police station reached the spot and pacified the ruckus. District administration officials and Mayor Sunil Uniyal Gama also reached the spot. By somehow controlling the situation, the officials assured action in the matter.
Rekha Rajput, a resident of Vivek Vihar, gave a complaint in Jakhan Chowki in the matter. Said, she was standing with councilor Sanjay Nautiyal. During this, Praveen Bhardwaj came and had a fight with the councillor. His son Ajay started intervening. Then Praveen’s son attacked Ajay with a baseball bat, which left him bleeding. It is alleged that Praveen’s wife also reached there with a pistol and threatened to kill her. His son Ajay is admitted in the hospital. There are stitches in the head. SO Rajpur Jitendra Chauhan said that a case has been registered against the accused Praveen Bhardwaj under the section of murderous attack.
Councilor Sanjay Nautiyal says that one meter part of the temple built there was on the municipal land. He himself had broken it. But, Praveen Bhardwaj has also made illegal construction by occupying the corporation’s land. When the corporation’s team reached to demarcate the land, he started quarreling. It is alleged that Praveen tried to set her ablaze by pouring petrol on her.
