Street play on G20 theme organized in Dehradun

G20 in Dehradun: Recently on 18th and 19th May a two-day event featuring street plays was organized at various places in Rishikesh. The street plays were centered on the theme of “promoting truth, preventing and fighting corruption” and were organized by a social organization under the aegis of THDC India Limited.

The demonstrations by students of Sawal Samajik Sanstha aim to support the G20 summit and highlight the issue of corruption and encourage citizens to stand against it. These thought-provoking street plays took place at four important locations in Rishikesh: Yog Nagari Railway Station, Traffic Bus Stand, Trivedi Ghat and Janaki Setu. His impressive portrayal of the consequences of corruption, including the exploitative behavior of corrupt officials, underscored the importance of unity in combating this social menace.

The street plays attracted substantial attention, attracting large numbers of audiences, who were captivated by the striking visuals and powerful performances. The program effectively conveyed the frustration caused by corruption and left a lasting impression on the audience, inspiring the people of Rishikesh to take action and strive for a corruption-free society.

The event not only highlighted the role of art in raising awareness but also demonstrated its transformative power in sparking change. Prominent people present in the program included Deputy General Manager and Nodal Officer of THDC Mr. SK Pandey, President of Sawal Samajik Sanstha Lakshmi Bisht, G.K. S Chauhan, Deputy General Manager, CM Bhatt, Senior Manager, Dilip Dwivedi, Senior Manager, and Ishan Bhushan, Senior Officer, among others. His presence emphasized the importance of the event and the commitment of various organizations and individuals to combat corruption in the society.
