Uttarakhand Tilu Rauteli Award 14 women including Nivedita and Mansi got Teelu Rauteli Award

Tilu Rauteli Award : The Uttarakhand government honored 14 women with the State Stree Shakti Teelu Rauteli Award and 35 women with the Anganwadi Worker Award. The award ceremony was organized on Tuesday at IRDT Auditorium, Survey Chowk, Dehradun.

Congratulating the award winners, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the government is committed to women empowerment and will do everything possible for the respect and upliftment of women. He said that Teelu Rauteli was a great heroine who made the country and society proud with her courage and bravery. He said that Anganwadi workers are one of the most important institutions in the country and they are playing an important role in the lives of women and children.

Women Empowerment and Child Development Minister Rekha Arya said that Anganwadi workers are the foundation of the government and they are reaching out to women and children even in the most remote and backward areas of the country. He said that the development of the country is not possible without the dedication and hard work of Anganwadi workers.

The awardees include women and adolescent girls who have excelled in the fields of education, social service, adventure, sports, art and culture, environment, agriculture, etc. The award winners were given a cash prize of Rs 51,000, a certificate and a memento.

Rajpur MLA Khajan Das while congratulating all the women including Chief Minister and Minister, Women and Child Development Department on the birthday of Teelu Rauteli said that the government is continuously making meaningful efforts for the empowerment of women and girls. Implementation of Uniform Civil Code in Uttarakhand will prove to be a milestone for women.

State Women Power “Tilu Rauteli” award is given every year to the women and adolescent girls who have done excellent work in the fields of education, social service, adventure work, sports, art craft, culture, environment and agriculture etc. in the difficult circumstances of the state. The day is organized by the Department of Women Empowerment and Child Development on August 08. Under the scheme, the selected women are given a certificate and a memento by issuing a citation, an amount of Rs.51,000/- online.

Officers and employees of Women Empowerment and Child Development Department were also present in the award ceremony.
