Kapri said that a Congress worker was assaulted at the BJP district president’s booth. He said that the election atmosphere has been vitiated by this incident and it is completely the negligence of the government.

Kapri said the government should probe the incident and take action against the guilty. He said that the government should also ensure that such incidents do not happen in future.

In the Bageshwar by-election, there is a close fight between the BJP and the Congress. Both the parties are trying their best to win. This incident may affect the election environment.

Voting for Bageshwar bypoll has begun at 7 am today. 1,18,264 voters will decide the fate of the candidates in the battle of Bageshwar. This match is going to be very interesting. Because, this time BJP has fielded Parvati Das, wife of late cabinet minister Chandan Ramdas, while Congress has given ticket to Basant Kumar.

Voting will run from 7 am to 5 pm. A total of 172 polling stations have been set up for voting. 118264 voters will exercise their franchise in Bageshwar by-election. Of these, there are 60,076 male voters while the number of female voters is 58,188. The number of service voters is 2207, of which female voters are 57 while male voters are 2150. The total polling places for this election are 188 and the total polling stations are 172. There are 15 micro observers

There is a direct contest between BJP and Congress in Bageshwar by-election. BJP has fielded Parvati Das, wife of late cabinet minister Chandan Ramdas, as its candidate. Parvati Das has been entrusted with the responsibility of carrying forward the legacy of Chandan Ramdas.

Congress has fielded Basant Kumar by giving him ticket. Basant Kumar has been in active politics for the last several years. He is quite popular in Bageshwar area.
